My 10 Favorite People in Sports

What a crazy time for sports.

We just finished an awesome March Madness tourney.  Tiger teed off today in one of the most anticipated Masters I can remember.  Baseball got underway this week.  The NFL draft is this month.  And the WNBA starts soon!  (Kidding)

In between calls, I jotted down my 10 favorite people in sports right now.

In no particular order:

1)  Kevin Durant-Is tearing up the NBA, and may win 30 (only a slight exaggeration) scoring titles.  I can't wait until Oklahoma City gets more TV love next year.

2)  Chad Ochocinco-Pretty much everything he does is highly entertaining.

3)  Jason Heyward-Hit a 450+ foot home run in his first-ever MLB at-bat Monday.  And it was off Chicago's Carlos Zambrano.

4)  Mark Attanasio-For two reasons

a)  He got the attention of the Yankees President by calling out their payroll.

b)  The Brewers cost of 4 attending a game continues to be among baseball's lowest.

5)  Gordon Haywood-Butler's swingman missed a tough go-ahead shot near the end of the game, and then his half-court heave just missed.  Still, he said he hated losing, but held his head high after a crazy exciting championship game.

6)  Shin Soo Choo-Because the Indians OF's name is awesome.

7)  Steve Stricker-The white-hot golfer is still below the radar because of Tiger Woods.  Here's hoping he sneaks up on people at Augusta.

8)  Rickie Weeks-He still hasn't put together a full season, which is both depressing but also makes me optimistic.  If he ever puts it all together...

9)  Bill Simmons-The ESPN sports writer wrote a scathing piece about underachieving Boston Celtic Rasheed Wallace.  It would be seen as mean if it wasn't totally true.

10) Charles Woodson-Even in the offseason, I haven't forgotten about you.  3/4 of the Earth is covered by water, the rest is covered by Charles Woodson.
