Is the I-Pad Right for Me?

I've always been a little behind the Apple curve.

I don't have a MacBook, I-Mac, or I-Pod. I guess I have an I-Pod Shuffle that I bought used from a friend. (Who cares if it was a company Christmas gift and has his work's logo on it?)

Maybe it's that all of their products are electronics, and I always take FOREVER to decide when purchasing these big ticket items. Ask my wife, drives her crazy.

I'm this close to making an "impulse" purchase with the I-Pad though. It just looks sweet. Super fast, compact, portable. I'm in.

However, the overanalytical aspect of my personality has caused me to do a bunch of research. Do I really need it? (Don't answer that) Is it better than a laptop? Is it good for work?

Here are some of the links I looked up that share the positives and negatives users have found with the I-Pad. Hopefully with the info, you can decide if the I-Pad is right for you.
