It's hard to believe, but we are only 2.5 weeks away from Super Bowl Sunday!
Overall, the games recently have been pretty competitive, but there have definitely been a couple of stinkers.
For what it's worth, here are my three favorite and least favorite games from 2000-2009.
Best:
1) New York Giants over New England Patriots (2007 Season)
How can you not put this game at the top of the list? The Giants run the table with three road wins, 19-0 is not realized, David Tyree's incredible catch. Heck, even Plaxico hasn't shot himself yet at this point and played well.
2) New England Patriots over Carolina Panthers (2003 Season)
I think these teams put up 40 total points in the fourth quarter. For fantasy purposes, this game solidified Jake Delhomme as the most overrated QB of the decade, but reminded us to always take Steve Smith under any circumstances.
3) Pittsburgh Steelers over Arizona Cardinals (2008 Season)
Two observations from this game: A) How great was the Santonio Holmes catch? B) Is that really Kurt Warner's wife? She was a completely different person than the one on TV during the 1999 SB.
Worst:
1) Baltimore Ravens over New York Giants (2000 Season)
Yuck. I should have known to not watch a Super Bowl with Kerry Collins and Trent Dilfer as starting QB's.
2) Tampa Bay Bucs over Oakland Raiders (2002 Season)
Beginning the day after this Super Bowl, only the LA Clippers made the Raiders next six years look respectable.
3) Indianapolis Colts over Chicago Bears (2006 Season)
Peyton Manning vs. Rex Grossman. I really hope Bears fans didn't go into that game thinking they had a shot.
