Best Slam Dunk Contests

Some people rag on it, but I've always loved the Slam Dunk Contest.  This year's event is just over a week away.

Here are my five favorite dunks.  Note to Brandon Jennings, no Bucks are on this list.  Time to step up little man!

Also, I'm excluding the well-known Michael Jordan free throw line dunk in 1988.  While the competition with Dominique was cool, I just don't see how Jordan's unoriginal dunk holds up.

5)  2005-Amare Stoudemire does a 360 alley-oop from a soccer header via Steve Nash.  Gotta love the creativity.

4)  1992-Cedric Ceballos walks out the steps and then dunks blindfolded in a full court sprint.  Cedric was ahead of his time.

3)  1991-Dee Brown turns his head behind his arm during the slam.  I'm a sucker for the no-look stuff.

2)  2000-Vince Carter takes a bounce off the floor from cousin Tracy McGrady and goes between his legs for the dunk.  Carter gets bumped up the list for doing the first "tandem slam."

1)  2007-Dwight Howard slams a basic dunk home, but leaves a sticker of his smiling face on the glass over 12 feet above the floor.  I can't believe the Magic never gave these stickers away as a promotional item.
